On April 18, 2022, Council Vice President Lotta Danielsson spoke at a virtual discussion on “What to Expect from the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework,” hosted by The Hudson Institute.
In announcing the event, The Hudson Institute said:
The Biden administration’s long-awaited Indo-Pacific Economic Framework—expected to be released soon—has been framed as a new and innovative approach to economic policy that will enhance both prosperity and security in the region. While partners across Asia are eager to join the U.S.-led initiative, there are also concerns that the initiative will lack substance. What can we expect from this framework? What is the framework missing?
The Council thanks The Hudson Institute and Riley Walters for the invitation to participate in this engaging and useful discussion.
