The US-Taiwan Business Council today welcomed the announcement of a possible Foreign Military Sale to Taiwan of Contractor Technical Assistance and related maintenance and sustainment articles and services for the Patriot Air Defense System, at an estimated cost of US$95 million.

The US-Taiwan Business Council today welcomed the announcement of a possible Foreign Military Sale of equipment and services to support Taiwan’s participation in the Patriot International Engineering Services Program (IESP) and Field Surveillance Program (FSP) for five years, at an estimated cost of US$100 million.

On January 29, 2022, US-Taiwan Business Council Chairman Mike Splinter and President Rupert Hammond-Chambers met virtually with Taiwan Vice President William Lai Ching-te as he transited through San Francisco. Vice President Lai was traveling home from Honduras, where he had attended the inauguration of President Xiomara Castro as a special envoy for Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen.
